Five rules every team member must know

This is the shortest version for Pavel, the support team and everyone responsible for keeping the official log.

Core principle

Only Pavel plays

No one else may take over his account, character or game controls during counted playing time.

  1. 01
    60 minutes of play earns a 5-minute breakUnder the draft rules, unused break time can be banked.
  2. 02
    The break bank must never go below zeroThe start and end of every break must be logged.
  3. 03
    Livestream and local recordingThe attempt must remain verifiable even if the internet connection fails.
  4. 04
    Log every incidentThis includes game, internet and stream outages as well as computer restarts.
  5. 05
    The official adjudicator has the final sayNo rules may be changed or time made up retroactively.

Five minutes for every hour

Taking a break does not end the attempt, but the time must have been earned, accurately logged and deducted from the available break bank.

5/60

Earning break time

Every 60 minutes of play earns 5 minutes of break time. If none is used, 60 minutes will be available after 12 hours of play.

BANK

Unused time accumulates

Only the time actually taken is deducted from the bank. Pavel cannot use more minutes than he has earned.

ZZZ

Sleep only if approved

The draft plan allows sleep only from banked break time and in blocks of at least one hour. This applies only if the Agency explicitly permits sleep in this record category.

The broadcast must demonstrate continuity

The public livestream is one part of the evidence. A local recording must run independently so that a technical outage does not create an unverifiable gap.

01

What viewers should see and hear

Gameplay, a camera showing Pavel, game audio, his microphone and a running timer or other elements that make continuity verifiable.

02

Two recording layers

The attempt will be streamed live on Twitch and Facebook. A complete local recording will continue regardless of platform availability.

03

An outage must not create a gap

The exact time of any outage must be logged while local recording continues. Whether that period counts will be decided under the approved rules or by the adjudicator.

What is allowed and what is not

These details cover the situations most likely to arise during more than 38 hours of play.

What counts as playing time
  • matches, the lobby, matchmaking and game settings;
  • normal waiting caused by Fortnite services;
  • communicating with teammates and chat while playing;
  • normal transitions between matches.

Pavel does not have to be inside an active match at every moment, but he must remain an active participant.

What is prohibited
  • another person taking over the game;
  • deliberately leaving the account unattended outside a logged break;
  • claiming time during which Pavel is not genuinely playing;
  • sleeping or taking any other unapproved absence outside the logged break system.
Other players and the support team

Pavel may play solo, duo, trio or squad, and may play with friends, viewers or other streamers. Teammates may rotate.

The support team may handle food, equipment, OBS, moderation, record-keeping and communication. No team member may take over the game controls.

Food, drink and personal needs

Pavel may eat and drink while playing if he continues to control the game himself, or during a logged break. Toilet visits, showering, changing clothes, personal hygiene and longer stretching sessions are deducted from the break bank.

Fortnite or computer outage

Every game crash, server problem, restart or device replacement must be logged immediately. There must be no unverifiable gap, and the team may not switch to a different game without approval.

Game modes and equipment

Battle Royale is the primary mode. Zero Build, Reload, Creative and other modes may be used only if the Agency approves them for this record category.

Faulty peripherals may be replaced and logged. Replacing the entire PC must be recorded in the official log.

Evidence required after the attempt

The final duration is calculated from the recorded start and finish under the methodology approved by the Agency. The public livestream alone is not sufficient evidence.

01

Evidence to preserve

  • the complete local video recording;
  • archived public livestreams;
  • the start, finish and break log;
  • the technical incident log;
  • photographs of the venue and setup;
  • a list of witnesses and supervisors.
02

What may invalidate the attempt

  • another person taking over the game;
  • exceeding the available break bank;
  • a long, unverifiable gap;
  • unapproved sleep or game mode;
  • falsified records;
  • failure to follow the adjudicator’s instructions.

Final checklist

These rules can only be marked as final after every critical point has been confirmed.

  • the exact name of the record category;
  • the current record to beat;
  • permitted game modes;
  • the 5-minutes-per-60-minutes rule;
  • banking unused break time;
  • whether sleep from banked time is permitted;
  • handling an internet or stream outage;
  • handling a Fortnite or Epic outage;
  • handling a PC restart or replacement;
  • local recording and sufficient storage;
  • break and incident logs;
  • synchronised clocks on all devices;
  • the official start time;
  • contact details for the adjudicator in disputed situations.
Do not confuse different record categories

The public database also lists a general record for the longest continuous livestream of multiple computer games without sleep, at 105:36:46. That is a different category from this planned Fortnite record attempt.
